About the Team: Our Technology team drives the evolution of our Technology, Engineering, Data, Product and User Experience functions. We shape the digital landscape for our customers, readers, and users by delivering cutting-edge solutions.
About the Role: This role is within the Mobile Team, responsible for building next-generation mobile apps for premium Dow Jones brands. As a Principal Software Engineer, you will guide a team of engineers to enhance the efficiency of mobile-specific technical models across multiple product teams.
You Will: Enhance team efficiency by driving initiatives and introducing new technologies, including practices like Cross Knowledge Training.Translate business requirements into technical specifications and make informed decisions on technology adoption, infrastructure, and cost impacts.Document and communicate infrastructure and design decisions to both business and technical stakeholders, ensuring clear ownership and accountability for projects.You Have: Six years of iOS native mobile development experience.Strong hands-on experience with Swift and SwiftUI.Familiarity with data structures, system design, and design patterns.Proficiency in API design, MVVM, declarative UI, Git, and DevOps.Full-stack background is a plus, with familiarity in cloud services, GraphQL, Firebase, etc.Passion for news and creativity in introducing new ideas and technologies.Background in journalism is advantageous.Benefits: Comprehensive Healthcare PlansLifestyle programs & Wellness ResourcesFamily Care Benefits & Caregiving SupportEmployee Referral ProgramAll qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, protected veteran status, or disability status.
