This position reports to
Engineering Manager Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to act as a design authority for an engineering discipline with low to medium complexity.
Each day, you will complete assignments on small projects or portions of larger projects in a cost-effective manner.
You will also showcase your knowledge by applying basic design thinking / design for excellence concepts in projects.
The work model for the role is : Fully remote
This role is contributing to the RAMA Division (B&R), Application Engineering Department, in Basque Country area, Spain.
You will be mainly accountable for :

Workout concepts and develop application software for machine automation.
Customer support is our most important responsibility and you will provide support for our entire hardware and software portfolio.
Providing technical support for testing, installation, and commissioning activities on customers projects.
Use your experience and communication skills holding technical customer training courses.
Become an expert for specialized areas of technology and make this knowledge available to the sales team and to our customers.
Collaborate effectively with our customers, guiding their projects towards common completion.

Qualifications for the role
You have completed a technical education, grade or master's in engineering, followed by at least 2 years' experience in software engineering, systems engineering, mechatronics engineering or similar.
You have experience and confidence using the most common programming languages used in automation.
Knowledge of motion control, robotics, machine vision and IoT is a plus.
You enjoy direct customer contact and working in a dynamic team.
You are motivated, a solution-oriented worker and a networked thinker.
You are fluent in Spanish and able to communicate in English without any problems.
