NoOffer Description The UCAM-SENS is a scientific unit striving for the digital transformation of key domains such as Health, Sport, Food, and the Environment by using advanced (bio)chemical sensing based on electrochemistry and imaging principles. The unit is led by renowned investigators, Prof. Maria Cuartero (ERC Fellow) and Prof. Gaston Crespo, who have established a unique research and educational environment at UCAM .The mission of UCAM-SENS is based on four pillars:RESEARCH : synergy of fundamental and applied investigations with high impact, resulting in tangible outcomes that solve societal challenges; EDUCATION: personalized education at master and PhD levels in chemical digitalization; INNOVATION: materializing research ideas into business cases to improve life and the environment; INDUSTRIAL PARTNERSHIP : developing sustainable R+D+I projects in cooperation with the industrial sector.The UCAM-SENS unit is located at the HiTech research building, a multicultural and multidisciplinary environment.Candidate Requirements The PhD student candidates must have:Completed a M.Sc. degree in Chemistry, Engineering Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Nanotechnology, or related fields.Demonstrated experience in (bio)chemical sensors, electrochemistry, analytical chemistry, and wearable sensors.Advanced English level.General SkillsSuccessful candidates will be goal-oriented and persevering, with the ability to:Independently pursue their work,Collaborate with others,Maintain a professional approach,Analyze and work with complex issues.What We Offer Opportunity to obtain a PhD degree (3-4 years) in a dynamic international research environment.A workplace divided into small clusters supervised by a senior researcher.Assistance with relocation to Murcia.Excellent scientific and human environment.Close supervision by experienced researchers.Expected incorporation date: September-October 2024.Application Apply through the UCAM recruitment system.
