The hotel features 290 contemporary and fresh rooms and suites, inspired by famous Catalan architect Antoni Gaudi and outfitted with the finest amenities.Position Purpose:Directs and organizes the activities of the Food & Beverage departments, including but not limited to the Kitchen, Banquet Operations, Restaurants, Room Service, and Bars, to maintain high standards of food and beverage quality, service, and marketing to maximize profits through outstanding customer service.Essential Functions:Plan and direct the functions of administration and planning of the Food & Beverage department to meet the daily needs of the operation.Clearly describe, assign and delegate responsibility and authority for the operation of the various food and beverage subdepartments.Monitor and develop schedules for the operation of all restaurants and bars to achieve a profitable result.Participate with the chef and restaurant managers in the creation and merchandising of attractive menu designs.Implement effective controls of food, beverage, and labor costs among all subdepartments.Assist departmental managers in establishing and achieving predetermined profit objectives and desired standards.Regularly review and evaluate customer satisfaction of the individual outlets and recommend new operating and marketing policies as necessary.Develop operating tools necessary for modern management principles.Ensure compliance with all Hilton Hotels Corporation policies and procedures, as well as local, state, and federal laws and regulations.Hire, train, supervise, develop, discipline and counsel all food and beverage management team members.Specific Job Knowledge, Skill, and Ability:Thorough knowledge of food and beverage operations.Considerable skill in math and algebraic equations using percentages.Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing, with guests and employees.Ability to work under pressure and deal with stressful situations.Leadership skills and demonstrable experience managing teams.What do we offer?Access to the employee discount website.Discounts on Hilton worldwide.Training Plan and access to company-run training courses.At Hilton Barcelona, we believe in equality as a fundamental principle that drives our success.
