SummaryWe are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to support our Global Clinical Operations team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing medium-complexity projects, ensuring the delivery of IT solutions that meet business requirements and align with the overall IT strategy.
Key Responsibilities: Direct project teams (externals) and maintain control of progress, quality, and budget to meet the desired business objectives.Setup and run all project-related meetings and maintain the record of actions, decisions, issues, risks, and act as the primary point of contact for all project-related escalations.Ensure a smooth transition to operations and the optimal planning and execution of all activities associated with a release.Manage a diverse set of senior stakeholders in the organization by effectively displaying excellence in soft skills.Execute innovative, impactful, cost-effective, and measurable programs tightly aligned to business objectives.About the RoleMajor Accountabilities: Manage the delivery of internal and outsourced projects from project initiation to transition to operations.Monitor and control project execution, establish project governance, managing risks and issues.Ensure effective use of resources and project management methods, tools, and practices.Deliver projects on time and within budget to meet the desired business objectives.Provide transparent and accurate project reporting including overall performance of the project and project documentation completion.Own project status, issues, and risks through appropriate channels/tools and ensure they are reported back to agreed project governance (e.g., Steering Committee).Ensure adherence to Security and Compliance policies and procedures within Project Management service scope.Collaborate effectively with other teams, DDIT Functions, and Domains in the organization, as well as strategic suppliers providing services to the project.Role Requirements: University degree in Informatics, Computer Sciences, business or similar OR relevant experience.Certified in PMP, Agile/Scrum, or PRINCE2 is preferred.Prior experience in delivering GxP solutions within GDD Clinical IT landscape.Knowledge of clinical development operations systems, processes, and tools is desirable.Ability to work and collaborate in matrixed teams to deliver projects with interdependencies.Experience using various project management methodologies including Agile.Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.15 years of experience in Project Management, ideally including experience in regulated environments.Commitment to Diversity & Inclusion: Novartis is committed to building an outstanding, inclusive work environment and diverse teams representative of the patients and communities we serve.
