These talented creative teams are well-known for developing hugely popular cross-platform titles including State of Survival, King of Avalon, Guns of Glory, Stormshot, and Sea of Conquest.The FunPlus brand is also behind FunPlus Phoenix (FPX), one of the world's most successful esports organizations.Your roleFor our office in Barcelona we are looking for a pragmatic Mandarin-speaking Commercial Legal Counsel who accomplished his-her legal (commercial corporate) training at a renowned European, UK or US university. In this role you will be responsible for providing global world-class legal support and management advice to our dynamic and fast-paced video game and software development company. The ideal candidate will require strong initiative and sound judgement, with the ability to work often independently in a creative and disruptive industry. If you are a qualified lawyer who has about 5-8 years transactional, contractual, compliance and corporate legal experience in a globally operating gaming, media, e-commerce or high-tech multicultural global organisation, then this role could be yours.Be part of FunPlus' global, multi-specialised team of legal counsel and professionals as you will partner across our organisation to provide legal solutions and consult and inform what we build and develop for our people, players and customers around the world. You will be part of our Global Legal Department with its main offices in Switzerland and Beijing. This role is based in Barcelona, Spain and reports to our Vice President & General Counsel, Western Markets at our global HQ in Switzerland.Your ResponsibilitiesIn close collaboration with your global legal team members you will partner with the FunPlus business teams in Barcelona and our other Western markets to manage, negotiate and execute a broad range of commercial and corporate agreements, compliance/legal/risk management related local and global matters and projects, primarily relating to our Western entities and markets and jurisdictions.Pro-actively manage the day-to-day legal operational, contractual, corporate, organisational and compliance needs of our games and the Barcelona entity, and, where applicable, provide support in respect of other Western entities.Act as subject matter expert and provide operational and strategic counsel in areas of risk and mitigation strategies to ensure that agreements and execution in all business areas are consistent with regulations, internal corporate policies and processes
