Software Development Engineer, Global Logistics, JP SS External FundedAt Amazon, we are working to be the most customer-centric company on earth. In alignment with this, Global Logistics is working to enable the largest selection of inventory for our customers. Global Logistics's vision is to build Amazon's global logistics pipeline for any supplier to supply to any location in the world. It offers intercontinental logistics services to selling partners to enable them to move their products from an origin country to Amazon fulfillment centers. Global Logistics is also responsible for exports from fulfillment centers to other countries outside of the fulfillment network, enabling global expansion for selling partners with the highest standards of quality, accountability, and transparency.
The Global Logistics team is building cross-border logistics solutions that eliminate barriers between buyers and sellers. These solutions enable third-party sellers to import or export their products across borders, thereby expanding their business into new markets and accessing customers around the world. Amazon is driving this multi-year vision to create new logistical benchmarks and "firsts" through disruptive innovation.
We need talented people to build highly available, scalable distributed systems that provide clean interfaces between sellers, shippers, trade agents, and customs authorities to ship products to customers globally. Minimum Qualifications:3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability, and scaling) of new and existing systems experienceExperience programming with at least one software programming language3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operationsBachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
