As an Advanced Analytics & AI Team Lead, you will lead and manage a team of BI Analysts and Data Scientists to deliver data-driven insights, predictive modelling, and machine learning/AI solutions. You will play a crucial role in developing and implementing data science strategies and overseeing the execution of complex analytical projects. You will be part of the Advanced Analytics & AI department responsible for delivering Cloud-based BI, Analytics, Machine Learning & Data Science. The AAAI department is part of the TRKKN Cloud business unit. Your key responsibilities will include: Team Leadership and Management: Provide strong leadership, guidance, and mentorship to a BI & data scientists team. Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment. Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback. Identify training and development needs for the team and coordinate relevant activities. Manage end-to-end data science projects, including project scoping, resource allocation, timeline and budget management, and deliverable quality assurance. BI & Data Science Strategy, Roadmap and Solutions: Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their needs and provide data-driven solutions. Communicate data science strategies, initiatives, and project progress to stakeholders at various levels of the organisation. Lead the design, development, and execution of BI, advanced data analysis and ML/AI projects. Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and reliability throughout the data science process. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather relevant data and domain knowledge for analysis and modelling. Continuous Learning and Improvement: Stay current with the latest BI & data science and machine learning developments, techniques, and tools. Encourage and support the team's professional growth and continuous learning. Identify opportunities for process optimization, automation, and efficiency improvement within the team. The person we're looking for has A Bachelor's or master's degree in data science, computer science, statistics, or a related field. Proven experience (5 years) in data science, machine learning, or a related role, with at least two years in a leadership or management position. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and foundational knowledge of Google Cloud-based services like Looker, BigQuery, VertexAI. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make data-driven decisions.
