The Cardiovascular Diseases Research Group promotes and generates knowledge on the mechanisms of heart diseases and aims to apply this knowledge in patients with cardiomyopathies.Job DescriptionEducation and QualificationsRequired:PhD in Biology or a related discipline.Good communication skills and fluency in spoken and written English.Not having received a previous Sara Borrell contract.Desired:Strong sense of responsibility, initiative, and ability to work independently.Good publications record.Experience and KnowledgeRequired:Good knowledge of animal physiology, especially in the cardiovascular system.Good molecular biology background and experience in molecular biology techniques (Western Blot, PCR, immunofluorescence, etc.).Main Responsibilities and DutiesTo develop and conduct the appropriate experiments (both in vivo and in vitro animal models), data measurement, and interpretation to join the projects. To generate a translational research project to solve an unmet clinical issue and collaborate with and support other research members in a fruitful discussion within the group.Labour ConditionsFull-time post, 40h/week. Starting date: Immediate following the publication of the grant resolution.
