Who you are
We're searching for an exceptional Chief of Staff to join our team and support our CEO in managing the day-to-day operations of our fast-growing startup. As we embark on a high-scale growth journey following our recent Series A investment, we need someone who can bring structure and efficiency to our dynamic and fast-paced environment.
You'll play a pivotal role in the company's overall success and act as a trusted advisor to our CEO and senior leadership. Your professionalism, confidentiality, and ability to deliver tangible results will be highly valued. If you have a strong background in working alongside senior management (8+ years), especially within high-growth startups (2+ years), and if you bring fresh ideas to the table, we want to hear from you.
You understand that people are our most important asset and have learned how to cultivate and nurture staff, bringing the best out of them. You have solid experience in running teams and know how to set up structures and processes that connect the wellbeing of our staff with concrete deliverables and results.
You bring at least 8 years of practical financial experience and will be comfortable developing and executing financial models. Your experience in capital raising is also a plus, and you know a thing or two about the venture capital ecosystem/process. You also have excellent business acumen , including skill in understanding the industry, competition, and growth opportunities and a proactive approach to learning and keeping up to date with new market trends.
Your communication skills are top-notch, with excellent written and verbal abilities in English (Spanish is a plus). You have proven experience engaging with different audiences, from tech to science, management to operations. You excel in external presentations, bringing credibility in your communication and inspiring trust.

Your impact
Be the right-hand to the CEO: As the Chief of Staff, you will serve as a strategic advisor to the CEO across various aspects of the company, including external and internal communications, decision-making, personnel matters, product strategy, and capital strategy. Your diplomatic approach, supported by evidence-based suggestions, clear communication, and empathetic listening, will be key to your success in this role.
Peas in a pod: You will work closely with the CEO on critical initiatives that have a significant impact on the company. This may involve investor relations, such as supporting investment decisions, reporting, board of directors preparation, and compliance, as well as capital raising efforts, including planning for our Series B funding round. You may also be involved in future company transformations, acquisitions, or pivots. You will take charge of business strategic planning and annual strategic priority planning, driving these processes forward.
Ensure we're a results-driven organization with strong financial models: One of your primary responsibilities will be to conceptualize, execute, and monitor company goals while establishing annual KPIs/OKRs. You will foster a culture of accountability, ensuring that each responsible party takes ownership of their tasks and results ('the buck stops with you' will be our overall motto). Developing the necessary infrastructure to support this accountability will be crucial. You will also ensure that our operations align with robust financial models, keeping us on track in the short and long term.
Take the elevator up, down, and sideways: To ensure the successful delivery of results, you will navigate the company vertically and horizontally. You will collaborate with various teams to ensure effective communication and execution of initiatives.
