Spears Manufacturing, headquartered in Sylmar California, is a world leader in the manufacturing and distribution of plastic valves, fittings, and pipe since 1969. We have an immediate opening for a Recruiting Specialist This is a career position with a national company that has over 24 plants and distribution centers throughout the country, specializing in manufacturing the world's finest PVC, CPVC Plastic Fittings, Valves, and Pipe. This position requires daily attendance at the Spears Manufacturing Sylmar, CA Facility (not a remote position). Pay will be commensurate with experience and skill level. Benefits package includes: Medical and Dental Insurance After 90 Days Paid Life Insurance 401K 4% Annual Salary Match Six Paid Holidays Each Year Paid Vacation, Paid sick days Job Description: This individual will post and respond to applicants for the various job openings they advertised and tell them about the company, the opportunities, and the long-term benefits of a career with Spears Manufacturing Company. This individual will be responsible for reviewing resumes to ensure the skill sets match our needs for the position(s) applied for and screening applicants first by phone and/or email and then in person. This individual should be able to sell the sizzle without making promises that aren't accurate. This individual will screen applicants before forwarding them to the department heads, scheduling, and attending final interviews. This individual will conduct group orientations as needed with individuals once they have come on board. Skills we are looking for: Ability to start conversations and find ease with interviewing techniques. Listening skills. Self-starter, multi-tasking, relentless follow-through. Ability to mutually pair Company and Applicant's needs. Sourcing any and all available platforms to generate applicants. Results-driven individual with the ability to wear many different hats. Confidence in the Boardroom, Breakroom, and Production floor. Ability to travel to Spears Sites as needed. Minimum Requirements: Networking skills, knowledge of many Job Posting sites, negotiating costs, and tracking effectiveness. Industrial savvy, understanding of manufacturing processes, some college preferred, real-world job experience equally considered. We are an EOE employer. #J-18808-Ljbffr
