Coruña British International School is a highly distinguished British international school, the first in the city to gain NABSS (National Association for British Schools in Spain) accreditation. The school's curriculum has been fully approved by both the Galician Government and the British Council, and is considered to be, alongside its sister school in Vigo, one of the foremost British schools in the Galicia region.
Founded more than 8 years ago, this progressive school with strong family values has delivered the English National Curriculum to hundreds of students and has evolved to meet the needs of modern learners. Students aged three to 14 attend the school and follow the National English Early Years Framework and the English National Curriculum.
The school is a proud member of Globeducate British International Schools, a new cluster within the Globeducate family founded in 2021, which brings together nine schools across Europe. Nowadays, Globeducate has a network of more than 60 schools across 12 countries, welcoming more than 40,000 students each day.
We wish to recruit an enthusiastic and dynamic specialist teacher of Mathematics for November 2024. The successful applicant will be able to teach Mathematics at Y7 to Y10 IGCSE. We are looking for someone to join an experienced and successful secondary team who has a passion for developing high-quality teaching and learning that ensures excellent student progress and engagement.
REQUIREMENTS:A first degree in Mathematics or similar.A P.G.C.E. or equivalent UK Teacher Education qualification.Proficient level of English (Mother tongue / C2).At least 2 years of teaching experience.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Ensure planning, preparation, assessment, and reporting meet students' diverse needs.Plan engaging, challenging lessons for consistent progress.Address all students' needs, including Special Educational Needs, with appropriate interventions.Maintain efficient records, integrating assessments per school policy.Adhere to department policies on curriculum, feedback, behavior, and resources.Maintain good order and discipline in line with the school's behaviour policy, inside and outside the classroom.Communicate regularly and professionally with parents.Participate in school meetings and comply with all relevant policies.Ensure student safety and wellbeing.WHAT WE OFFER:Full time.Permanent Contract.An attractive salary package.A free lunch every day.On-site welfare advice and support and help with banking arrangements.A unique natural environment with a brand new campus to open soon.Engaged, lively and creative learners who take pride in their school.A strong, forward-thinking, collegiate leadership team.Highly motivated, supportive and committed colleagues.Although accommodation is not provided, attractive and reasonably priced apartments are available in A Coruña.At Globeducate, we are committed to creating an inclusive and fair work environment.
