We have two engineering divisions, different in their technologies but similarly focused on delivering compelling products to our customers. In our Applied Engineering division, we are an integral part of the design & development process for our high-performance customers including Formula 1, Motorsport and Automotive. We contribute across all areas of engineering and in multiple different specialisms including composite & materials, bodywork, aero & structural, powertrain, and tooling.
In our Electrification division, we specialize in R&D of state of the art of battery systems. Taking projects from initial concepts to production: we are designing, developing, testing, and manufacturing the next generation of high-performance batteries to innovative projects for multiple industries. What You Will Do Manage stress analysis and make design decisions to satisfy structural requirements. Use hand calculations and the FEA software Simcenter 3D to validate designs and provide project direction. Contribute to the definition and implementation of reliability and performance target setting. Work collaboratively with other colleagues with different backgrounds such as mechanical designers, functional and architecture, hardware, manufacturing, quality, as well as external partners critical to the development of the project to meet targets and deadlines. Support the design team with your simulations providing design feedback. Develop documentation for FEA and engineering methods. Support R&D testing and correlate simulation with real world. What You Need to Succeed Master´s degree in relevant Engineering subject, Mechanical or Materials Science, or equivalent professional work experience Excellent knowledge of stress and strain +3 years of Professional experience working with FEA software, Simcenter 3D Fluent in English Desirable Skills and Experience At least 3 years of experience working in a similar position. Knowledge of composite materials. Previous experience working with FEA for EVs or other similar relevant industries. Experienced in random vibration & sinus sweep dynamic analysis and fatigue (including welding's) What BOLD offers you Regular events and team building activities.
