Featuring 296 beautifully appointed rooms and suites, 2 bars, 1 restaurant, 10 event spaces, a stunning multi-level pool and fitness centre.As the Groups, Conference & Events Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in managing group bookings and event inquiries.
You'll support the sales process, ensure smooth coordination across teams, and deliver seamless client experiences.
Your organisational skills and attention to detail will be instrumental in creating memorable events that reflect Sofitel's commitment to excellence.Job DescriptionA career that lets your passion shine:Respond to inquiries for group bookings and events, qualify leads, and work closely with the senior sales team members on new business.Assist in preparing proposals, contracts, and preliminary event packages with accuracy and professionalism.Collaborate with internal teams, including Reservations, Food & Beverage, Banquets, Kitchen, and Front Office, to ensure client needs are met.Maintain accurate group booking records, manage room blocks, and ensure all client requirements are documented.Prepare Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) for smaller events and support operations during pre-event briefings.Manage deposits and payments, oversee billing processes, and ensure financial accuracy post-event.Provide administrative support to the Sales & Marketing team, including reporting and system updates.QualificationsWhat you will bring to the role:A luxury attitude, strong interpersonal skills, and a high EQ are essential.Experience in event coordination or a similar administrative role in hospitality.Strong organisational and multitasking skills with exceptional attention to detail.Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.A client-focused mindset with a passion for luxury service and hospitality.The ability to prepare Banquet Event Orders, conduct pre-event meetings, and prepare event reports.Knowledge and ability to operate Opera Cloud Software and various CRM systems.Additional InformationThrive in our Sofitel Gold Coast Broadbeach community:Employee discounts on accommodation, dining, and lifestyle with Accor hotels.Discounted on-site parking.Paid birthday leave.Personalized reward & recognition and learning & development programs.Career development pathways locally and globally with Accor and Sofitel.Belong in a place where you can be yourself and love what you do.
