With a five-year base period and three one-year options, KBR ensures these bases operate smoothly, allowing deployed personnel to focus on mission execution.Job SummaryServe as a Firefighter assigned to a crew engaged in airfield, structural firefighting, crash-rescue, Hazardous Materials (HAZMAT). Drive and operate firefighting vehicles of significant complexity, to respond to the presence or potential releases of hazardous materials for the purpose of stopping or controlling the release, and to conduct performance of noninvasive basic first aid procedures.Roles and ResponsibilitiesResponding to fire incidents promptly and efficiently.Driving emergency vehicles with strategic route planning.Operating a variety of specialized equipment, including pumps and foam generators.Utilizing advanced protective gear in hazardous situations.Performing daily preventive maintenance tasks, such as oil changes and equipment checks.Ensuring all equipment is consistently maintained in optimal working conditions.Other duties as assigned.Basic QualificationsUS CitizenshipHigh School Diploma or equivalent.A minimum of 3 years of firefighting experience in a structured fire protection role that delivers fire suppression services.Working knowledge of fire suppression, rescue and emergency incident techniques, operation of fire equipment, water distribution and supply requirements.Working knowledge of the characteristics of aircraft fuel propellants, oxidizers and weapons.Meet position certificates IAW DOD 6055.06 M.Preferred QualificationsAt least 2 of the last 3 years should have been spent in an organization that provides aircraft crash, fire, and rescue services.Proven ability to understand and apply fire suppression, rescue, and emergency incident techniques, along with expertise in operating fire equipment and managing water distribution and supply needs.KBR BenefitsKBR offers a selection of competitive lifestyle benefits which could include 401K plan with company match, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, AD&D, flexible spending account, disability, paid time off, or flexible work schedule.
