Title: UABOS Spain: Environmental SpecialistBelong, Connect, Grow, with KBRProgram SummaryKBR will sustain the operational well-being of U.S. armed forces at Morón Air Base (Spain), Incirlik Air Base, Izmir Air Station, and various facilities in Turkey.
Our services encompass program management, civil engineering, morale and recreation support, postal operations, safety services, logistics, and more.
With a five-year base period and three one-year options, KBR ensures these bases operate smoothly, allowing deployed personnel to focus on mission execution.Job SummaryMonitor and dispose of all WRM hazardous materials/wastes IAW applicable host nation laws, Final Governing Standards (FGS) and Morón AB hazardous waste and spill plans.
Ensure compliance with hazardous material and hazardous waste management IAW DAFI21-101 and AFI 90-821, Hazard Communication (HAZCOM) Program.
Follow Safety and Occupational Health Management System/Environment Management System (ESOHMS/EMS) policy/guidance.
Obtain Safety Data Sheets (SDSs) for chemicals received unless already available in EESOH-MIS and Enterprise Data Repository.
Ensure all hazardous and non-hazardous chemicals are properly labeled and stored.
Provide customer service to department, company and government personnel.
Strictly adhere to US Air Force Technical Orders and Safety Directives.Roles and ResponsibilitiesHazardous waste storage monitor.Seal and label drums filled with waste petroleum, oils, and lubricants.Transport hazardous waste sealed drums with appropriate paperwork to base collection point.Access Enterprise Data Repository for current Safety Data Sheets.Ensure 100% compliance with hazardous material storage and handling guidelines.Material & Equipment directly used: General hand tools, dollies, operate equipment tugs, general shop equipment.Other assigned duties.Basic QualificationsUS Citizen.High School diploma or equivalent.Possess or have the capability to obtain a U.S. SECRET security clearance.Valid U.S. driver's license.MS Office computer skills (Windows, Excel).Preferred QualificationsUSAF Sheppard AFB cryogenics course graduate.KBR BenefitsKBR offers a selection of competitive lifestyle benefits which could include 401K plan with company match, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, AD&D, flexible spending account, disability, paid time off, or flexible work schedule.
