Competitive National Grants Unit Vall d'Hebron Research Institute (VHIR) is a public sector institution, located in Barcelona (Spain) that promotes and develops innovative biomedical research at the University Hospital Vall d'Hebron. VHIR is oriented towards finding solutions to the health problems of the citizens and has the will to contribute to the scientific, educational, social and economic development within its area of competence.The National Projects Unit will support the scientific community at Vall d'Hebron throughout the full lifecycle of national competitive projects. The Unit encourages and supports researchers in the pursuit of national competitive funding for research, detecting opportunities and contributing to the development of quality proposals.We are currently looking for one people to join the team as a national post-award project manager. Education and qualifications: Required:University degree related to job description dutiesExcellent written and oral communication skills in Catalan and/or Spanish.Additional training in competitive research projectsGood level of English will be valued Experience and knowledge: Required:Experience in financial managementPersonal skills:Self-motivatedWell-organisedMeticulous, with close attention to detailProactive and results-orientedAbility to work well under pressure and to meet deadlinesStrong problem-solving and communication skillsExcellent teamwork and relational skillsExperience in research institutions and/or project management in the biomedical sector will be valuedWork experience in post-award management of basic and clinical research grants funded by national organisations (ISCIII, MINECO, PERIS, LMTV3…) Main responsibilities and duties: Managing grant budgets, preparing financial reports and auditsMonitoring project work plan, scientific reports and implementation of grant agreementsEnsuring compliance with institutional policies and sponsoring agency regulationsServing as liaison between researchers and funding agenciesAny other duties related to the job as requested to contribute to the general functioning of the Research Grants Office Labour conditions: Full-time position: 40h/weekGross annual salary: Remuneration will depend on experience and skills.
