Frontend Developer
As a global leader in engineering with over 20,000 employees worldwide, we create and develop highly specialized technical tools for several applications, such as industrial automation, chemical depuration, food and beverage processing, 3D modeling, etc. Due to our strong growth, we are currently recruiting for Software Developers for our recently established Digital Hub in Barcelona.
Working in the Digital Hub, you will act as a catalyst of change leading key digital transformation projects across the company. As part of the hub, you will be involved in driving key strategic initiatives within eCommerce, product configuration, Analytics and Digital Sales.
To achieve its goals the Digital Hub is led by startup veterans that are creating a startup cultured unit under the umbrella of this billion-dollar Corporation. Working in this environment, you will be part of a dynamic mix of Festo Spain, the Digital Sales Hub, and Global IT, collaborating across these areas to drive innovation and digital transformation within the company.

Role Overview:
As a Frontend Developer in the Digital Hub, you will be a catalyst for change, leading key digital transformation projects across the company. You will drive strategic initiatives within eCommerce, product configuration, analytics, and digital sales innovation, helping to define the digital agenda across regions, categories, and brands.
What We Are Looking For:
The incoming Frontend Developer will have the opportunity to work with a cutting-edge technology stack, including React and AWS, in an informal, agile, and technology-focused work environment. You will have ownership over your work and be at the forefront of technical design and decision-making.
Role Description:
Application Development: Build and maintain complex Single Page Applications for product selection and simulation, ensuring a responsive and user-friendly interface. Collaborate closely with backend developers, designers, and other stakeholders.
Architecture Adaptation: Work with other development teams to adapt the existing architecture to use Module Federation for micro-frontend implementations.
Agile Participation: Actively participate in Scrum ceremonies to deliver high-quality features within an iterative development cycle.
Code Quality: Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code. Ensure best practices such as code reviews, unit testing, and continuous integration are followed.
Performance Optimization: Identify performance bottlenecks and optimize the front-end application for speed and scalability.
Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior developers on the team, helping to elevate the team's technical skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
Educational Background: A degree in Information Technology or a related field.
Professional Experience: Over 5 years of hands-on experience in developing front-end applications using React, Redux, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, and modern build tools such as Webpack and NPM.
Code and UX Quality: A commitment to writing high-quality code and delivering exceptional user experiences.
Team Collaboration: Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a distributed team.
Work Ethic: An independent, structured approach to work, coupled with holistic thinking.
Language Proficiency: Proficiency in written and spoken English is essential. Knowledge of Spanish and German is a plus but not mandatory.
