Our client specializes in bookkeeping for a variety of commercial clients, and we are searching for a meticulous accountant to join their team
In this role, you will work independently and collaboratively with Account Managers to ensure clients financial records are accurate and up to date.
Your efforts will be crucial in generating precise financial statements and maintaining the financial health of their clients.
This is a remote opportunity, with preference for candidates located in MA, CT, or RI.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Accurately record day-to-day financial transactions.
Reconcile various accounts, including cash, credit cards, loans, and third-party applications.
Troubleshoot reconciliation issues to ensure accuracy.
Process accounts receivable and accounts payable transactions.
Handle payroll processing and reconciliations, if applicable.
Collaborate with clients to resolve any uncategorized transactions.
Create journal entries for depreciation, amortization, and other recurring transactions.
Prepare financial statements for review by the Account Manager.
Process year-end 1099s and assist in year-end CPA package preparation.
Provide support on special projects as needed.

Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in completing assigned tasks.
Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
Education and Experience: 3+ years of transactional accounting experience in QuickBooks Online.
Familiarity with third-party applications such as Square, Stripe, Bill.com, and Shopify.
Experience with accrual-based accounting.
