Key Responsibilities of the Role: Ensure EHS management systems for all the projects are implemented and maintained Adherence to the project & Mercury Engineering Safety Management system Adherence to relevant Environmental, Health & Safety statutory provisions & legislation Adherence to Mercury Engineering & PSCS Environmental, Health & Safety Plans. Coordination in the development of task specific method statements, risk assessments, safe plan of action and permit to work. Compliance with the project safety statement. Coordination of project safety indicators. Good Safety Practices are managed & maintained. Ongoing C.O.S.H.H assessments, control of hazardous substances. Safety interventions are completed & registered. Carry out regular site audits and inspection, document reports and establish corrective and preventive actions to prevent reoccurrence and continuous improvements Attend and provide input at site meetings, report on EHS risks, trends and recommend constructive actions towards continuous improvements Good safety practices are managed & maintained. Provide advice and guidance in all EHS matters to management, safety representatives and employees Records of statutory inspections are available for project activities, tool and plant. Adopt a Proactive approach to project EHS requirements. Provide Safety input to site management & at site EHS forums. Ensure project sub-contractor adhere to project EHS policies & procedures. Mercury Engineering site induction & training is coordinated, managed & maintained. Project PPE is resourced & available. Compile & carry out Toolbox talks, as necessary. Assist or carry out accident investigation reports in a timely manner & ensure communication to Mercury Engineering project management. Welfare & Hygiene facilities are in place, managed & maintained. Liaison with site Project Management on environmental, health & safety issues. Up to date documentation is included with the Safety File. Waste reduction and recycling programmes are maintained in line with project policies & procedures. Essential Criteria for the Role: Relevant third level Certificate qualification in Environmental, Health & Safety. Spanish equivalent qualification in environmental health& safety (Technical preventive resource) 3 years minimum site experience Thorough knowledge of current environmental, health and safety legislation Flexibility in working patterns where necessary. Ability to efficiently manage all environmental, health and safety issues on site. Realizar auditorías e inspecciones periódicas del sitio, documentar informes y establecer acciones correctivas y preventivas para evitar la recurrencia y realizar mejoras continuas. Asistir y brindar aportes en las reuniones del sitio, informar sobre los riesgos y tendencias de EHS y recomendar acciones constructivas para lograr mejoras continuas. Se gestionan y mantienen buenas prácticas de seguridad. Brindar asesoramiento y orientación en todos los asuntos de EHS a la gerencia, representantes de seguridad y empleados. Los registros de las inspecciones reglamentarias están disponibles para las actividades del proyecto, herramientas y plantas. Adoptar un enfoque proactivo para los requisitos EHS del proyecto. Proporcionar información sobre seguridad a la administración del sitio y en los foros de EHS del sitio. Asegúrese de que el subcontratista del proyecto cumpla con las políticas y procedimientos EHS del proyecto. La inducción y capacitación del sitio de Mercury Engineering se coordina, gestiona y mantiene. El proyecto PPE cuenta con recursos y está disponible. Recopilar y llevar a cabo charlas de caja de herramientas, según sea necesario. Ayudar o realizar informes de investigación de accidentes de manera oportuna y garantizar la comunicación con la gestión del proyecto de Mercury Engineering. Se encuentran establecidas, gestionadas y mantenidas instalaciones de bienestar e higiene. Enlace con la Dirección del Proyecto del sitio sobre cuestiones medioambientales, de salud y seguridad. La documentación actualizada se incluye con el Expediente de Seguridad. Se mantienen programas de reducción y reciclaje de residuos de acuerdo con las políticas y procedimientos del proyecto. Criterios Esenciales para el Rol: Certificado de cualificación de nivel terciario pertinente en Medio Ambiente, Salud y Seguridad. Título equivalente español en seguridad y salud ambiental (Recurso técnico preventivo) 3 años mínimo de experiencia en el sitio Conocimiento profundo de la legislación vigente en materia de medio ambiente, salud y seguridad. Flexibilidad en los patrones de trabajo cuando sea necesario. Capacidad para gestionar eficientemente todos los aspectos ambientales, de salud y seguridad en el sitio. Fuertes habilidades de comunicación e informática. Capacidad para trabajar por iniciativa propia y poseer fuertes habilidades interpersonales y de comunicación.
