Overview

TNS is a global provider of innovative telecommunication carrier core network and enterprise applications hosted on its industry-leading Communication Application Server. Our solutions are deployed in mobile and fixed-line communication service providers (CSPs) and have a high worldwide profile of Tier 1/2 CSPs as referenceable customers.

We are expanding our sales organization and seeking a highly motivated sales professional with proven success in selling next-generation telecommunication core network solutions and services to fulfill a key role as Regional Sales Director.

Job Description:

The Regional Sales Director is responsible for the development and sales success of the assigned region through direct sales, OEM mobile device development, and strategic channel partner initiatives.

This individual will be a crucial part of the TNS sales team, working with leading partners that focus on larger service providers and enterprises in the region.

A key focus will be identifying, introducing, and selling Mobile Branded Calling for Consumers and Enterprises along with unique opportunities for Communication Application Server within the region.

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing direct sales activities to select companies where appropriate.

As the Regional Sales Director, you will be expected to meet sales quota objectives as well as quantitative and qualitative performance goals while setting high standards for articulation and presentation of the TNS portfolio value proposition.

Responsibilities

The Regional Sales Director reports to the Vice President of Sales.

Primary Job Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Manage partner development, sales, and customer satisfaction within the territory to meet and exceed assigned sales quota and business objectives.
  • Drive adoption of company solutions among strategic partners and OEM Mobile device partners.
  • Identify new customers and new opportunities with existing customers.
  • Present the TNS portfolio value proposition at the executive level.
  • Lead solution development efforts that best address customer needs, while coordinating the involvement of all necessary company and partner personnel.
  • Deliver compelling technical and business information to close the sale.
  • Identify key decision makers and customer business case to internal executives to quantify and qualify business opportunities at proposal reviews.
  • Manage a lengthy, complex customer process for central office switching.
  • Function as a key leader of a high-performance sales team.
  • Work with partner sales teams to meet assigned sales goals by creating and carrying out sales plans and strategies.
  • Provide sales support to partner sales teams through continual training, partner visits, technical and administrative information, demonstrations, and customer price quotes for TNS offerings.
  • Maintain long-term relationships with partners and TNS products to achieve customer satisfaction and ensure aftermarket revenue.

Qualifications

The Regional Sales Director at TNS must possess excellent communication skills. The ideal candidate should be socially perceptive and an active listener who leverages information gained to build relationships.

In addition to these critical skills and personality traits, TNS is looking for Regional Sales Director candidates with the following skills and abilities:

  • Technically astute in telecommunication network architecture with emphasis on Next Generation Intelligent Networks.
  • Experience in complex solution selling and articulation of competitive advantages and value proposition.
  • Strong customer relationship skills, excellent presentation skills, as well as proven business/market/technical knowledge.
  • Crafting and implementing channel sales strategies to meet assigned sales quota.
  • Developing and growing OEM device partners and prospective partner relationships.
  • Ability to use leadership and sales acumen to train and develop sales staff of partners.
  • Ability to use analytical skills to analyze Key Performance Indicators to determine the health of a channel partner relationship.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, internet communications media, and CRM tools for pipeline performance and reporting.
  • Ability to work with other cross-functional teams on different continents; the ability to communicate and foster teamwork.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (BA or BS) or equivalent in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, or Engineering.
  • Minimum ten years of solution sales experience in a Telecommunications environment.
  • Proven success in selling next-generation telecommunication core network solutions and services to Communication Service Providers.
  • Demonstrable in-depth knowledge of IMS/LTE Core architecture and relative cloud transformation.
