Job Description :

The Opportunity

We are hiring for a Business Development Manager to cover Spain & Portugal. The role involves maintaining existing customers and developing new ones in the assigned territory. The successful candidate will build positive customer relationships by providing excellent service and industry-leading products at competitive prices.

  • Develop detailed profiles of assigned markets and sub-segments with the relevant territory Business Development Director.
  • Utilize tools like social media, insights, reports, publications, and market contacts to identify opportunities.
  • Collaborate with product management, R&D, and quality teams to develop new projects and opportunities.
  • Maintain and grow relationships with existing customers.
  • Travel to meet customers, promote products, address queries, and showcase the full portfolio.
  • Create and implement customer strategies and activation plans.
  • Prepare sales quotes, negotiate prices, and close business deals.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the product portfolio and applications.
  • Stay informed on industry news and trends through events, trade shows, seminars, memberships, and subscriptions.
  • Coordinate with customer service and internal teams to handle queries.
  • Monitor performance data, including sales volume and profitability.
  • Work with customers to develop accurate forecasts for financial and supply chain planning.
Skills Required :
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Food / Nutrition Science or Sales & Marketing, or equivalent.
  • Experience managing an established customer base in FMCG / Food Industry roles.
  • Strong commercial acumen and ambition for growth and new business development.
  • Results-oriented with a focus on achieving goals.
  • Teamwork and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication across all levels.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Flexibility to work overtime when needed.
Language, Computer & Numeracy Skills :
  • Excellent verbal and written skills in Spanish and English.
  • Knowledge of French is a plus.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
  • Experience with LinkedIn and other social media platforms.

The role is based in Spain with hybrid working arrangements to support work-life balance.
