Specific ResponsibilitiesPricing Strategy & Analysis:
- Develop and implement pricing strategies that align with company objectives, analyze market trends, and monitor competitor pricing to optimize profitability.
Cost Control:
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and negotiate favorable rates with carriers, vendors, and other stakeholders to minimize expenses and maximize profit margins.
- Identify and quantify the costs associated with freight forwarding services, including transportation, handling, customs clearance, and insurance, to ensure accurate pricing.
- Maintain updated information and analysis of standard costs of new products/processes.
- Track market rates.
Contract Negotiations:
- Negotiate contracts with customers and vendors, ensuring competitive pricing and adherence to company policies.
Pricing Models & Strategy Development:
- Develop and maintain pricing models that accurately reflect the cost of services and generate profitable pricing for various freight forwarding services.
- Develop and implement pricing strategies that align with the company's overall business objectives, including profitability targets, market penetration goals, and customer segmentation.
Dynamic Pricing:
- Adapt pricing strategies in real time to reflect changes in market conditions, fuel costs, and other relevant factors.
Reporting & Analysis:
- Prepare pricing reports, analyze data, and provide insights to senior management on pricing trends, market dynamics, and the effectiveness of pricing strategies.
Collaboration:
- Collaborate with sales, operations, and finance teams to ensure alignment on pricing strategies and to provide pricing support for sales initiatives.
Market Research:
- Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory changes, and market dynamics to ensure pricing strategies remain competitive and effective and identify opportunities for optimization.
