House of Shipping provides business consultancy and advisory services for Shipping & Logistics companies. House of Shipping's commitment to their customers begins with developing an understanding of their business fundamentals.

Currently, House of Shipping is recruiting for a Senior Executive - Sales for one of its clients, a leading global container liner company.

Job purpose:

  1. Canvassing cargoes for all trade lanes to achieve target liftings.
  2. Increasing SeaLead's market presence.
  3. Maintaining existing clientele.
  4. Expanding existing relationships by presenting new solutions and services to clients.
  5. Developing new business opportunities; customers and revenue lines.
  6. Forecasting and allocations.
  7. Responsiveness to all quotations, troubleshooting, and handling of enquiries from customers.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

  1. To develop a strong business-building relationship with existing and new customer bases.
  2. Achieve close level of support with clients through regular contact, visits, and entertainment to secure business.
  3. Responsible for business development for allotted trade lanes.
  4. Develop new clientele through referrals, own, and company network.
  5. To be fully accountable for meeting individual key performance indicators and targets.
  6. Achieve given TEU & Revenue target per vessel.
  7. Suggestions to improve the overall revenue and profitability of the assigned sector.
  8. Submit regular reports covering sales activities, performance, and plans through the CRM system.
  9. Preparing advance forecasts, collecting and reporting accurate market intelligence.
  10. Ensure strict credit control, payment collection, and minimize outstanding.
  11. Close coordination with all departments to attend to customer's complaints, resolve issues, and uphold our service commitment to customers.
  12. Ensure that customers know the whereabouts of their shipments.
