We are looking for an SAP Technology Expert to be part of our SAP Landscape Team in the IT Platforms Stream.

The Role

As a member of the SAP Technologies area, you will use your expertise and passion to contribute to the team’s success within one of the largest and most complex SAP implementations in the world. As SAP Basis Technology Expert, you will drive operational excellence, design and architect solutions to deliver resilient, compliant, and performant SAP Landscape, and contribute to Global IT projects like our SAP S/4 HANA Transformation.

You will be part of the SAP Landscape team and will work closely with IT Product Streams and partners to ensure the delivery of the SAP platform technology roadmap and value to the business.

What You’ll Do

  1. Provide deep expert SAP Technologies/Basis guidance and support in their specific specialties (e.g., HANA, S/4 suite, SAP Business suite (ERP, BW/BI, APO, PI), SAP SaaS Solutions (BTP, SSF), etc.)
  2. Collaborate with internal partners to identify relevant standard solutions for efficient deployment.
  3. Where required, innovate (architect, design, integrate, build, test a customer-specific solution), including the technical application stack, infra stack, or services.
  4. Provide the product team with technical expertise, advising on best technology solutions, translating the business vision into technical vision.
  5. Make recommendations on how to improve the effectiveness, efficiency, and delivery of services using (emerging) technology and technical methods and methodologies.
  6. Participate in the development of and/or review of standards, documentation, and methods of working in the relevant area of expertise.
  7. Ensure solution operational readiness and define global procedures and processes for operations in the area of expertise.
  8. Ensure IT Customer and Consumer requirements are met, and service quality is maintained when introducing new products, considering the cost-effectiveness of proposed solutions.
  9. Responsible for ensuring that all solutions within their technology area are delivered and maintained secure and compliant with internal standards and external regulations, including privacy requirements.
  10. Problem-solving skills, including incident resolution and RCA. Able to take technical requirements, analyze these, identify existing solutions, or architect new ones.

What Will Make You Successful

Technical Skills

  1. Bachelor’s degree or higher in one of the following areas: Computer Science, Engineering, Information Management.
  2. Solid know-how of SAP Technologies and Products (SAP certification highly beneficial).
  3. Expert level BASIS, HANA, SUSE knowledge (preferably Pacemaker experience) > 8 years.
  4. Good knowledge of Hyperscaler infrastructure, tools, and processes > 2 years.
  5. S/4 experience including Fiori, embedded gateway, and technical conversions.
  6. Problem-solving skills, including incident resolution and RCA.
  7. Able to take technical requirements, analyze these, identify existing solutions, or architect new ones.
  8. Understanding of ITSM tools and best practices.

  2. Strong communication skills: Articulate technical details effectively to non-technical individuals using clear and concise language.
  3. Thrive in high-pressure situations and maintain a strong focus on delivering exceptional service to customers.
  4. Excellent presentation skills: Capable of delivering engaging presentations, utilizing storytelling techniques and PowerPoint to effectively convey information.
  5. Strong documentation abilities: Skilled in creating comprehensive and organized documentation, including standards and procedures.

Minimum Requirements

  1. Bachelor's degree or a related study/equivalent experience.
  2. 8+ years of experience in managing complex IT SAP projects.
  3. Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills.
  4. Strong result focus and the ability to influence without authority.
  5. Experience in working in a complex and global environment with virtual teams.
  6. Can-do attitude and self-motivated.

Bonus Points If You:

  1. SAP Technology Certifications.
  2. Recent implementation experience with SAP S/4HANA brownfield/greenfield.
  3. Strong understanding of IT Security & Compliance.
