HSE Specialist Location: Grove|Bolton Food|Full-timeAbout the RoleJoinBolton Food, a leader in the food industry, and become part of ourHealth, Safety & Environment (HSE) team. You will play a key role in ensuring compliance with occupational health, safety, and environmental regulations, driving continuous improvement across our operations, and fostering a culture of safety, sustainability, and responsibility. You will collaborate closely with management to implement, maintain, and enhance our HSE Management System, ensuring legal compliance, operational excellence, and alignment with corporate sustainability goals.✅ How You Make the DifferenceHSE Management SystemsSupport the maintenance and continuous improvement ofISO 45001 (Occupational Health & Safety)andISO 14001 (Environmental Management)systems. Monitor compliance with environmental and safety regulations through internal audits and on-site inspections. Draft and update technical documentation and operational procedures. Participate in risk assessments and contribute to improvement plans. Promote proactive safety and environmental culture across the plant. Act as liaison with external authorities, consultants, and inspectors.Occupational Risk PreventionIdentify and evaluate occupational, environmental, and psychosocial risks in processes, facilities, and operational changes. Ensure compliance with HSE requirements and proper use of PPE. Conduct emergency drills and follow up on corrective actions. Propose preventive measures and improvement opportunities. Carry out safety observations and behavioral-based safety initiatives.Training and HSE CultureDeliver internal training on safety, health, and environmental topics. Implement and supportBehavior-Based Safety Programs(STOP Program) Provide guidance and support to other departments on HSE-related matters.Environmental ManagementAssess environmental aspects and impacts, proposing and tracking improvement actions. Implement and monitor operational controls and legal authorizations. Ensure compliance with environmental permits and applicable legislation.Incident ManagementInvestigate accidents, incidents, and occupational illnesses to identify root causes. Record and report events in corporate systems, analyzing trends to propose preventive actions.Communication and CoordinationCoordinate with clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies (CAE management). Support external and internal audits, inspections, and KPI monitoring.
