Company SLS Barcelona is a 5‑star hotel in Barcelona’s waterfront district of Port Forum, offering exclusive amenities including rooftop dining, three swimming pools, a 800m² ballroom, a spa and a fitness center.Job Description Director of Finance – Pre‑opening team, SLS Barcelona.Responsibilities Oversee all accounting / finance duties and management reporting for the multi‑site hotel, food and beverage venues including full cycle month‑end closes, financial statement preparation, complex account analysis, reconciliation, budgeting and forecasting.Manage and communicate cash flow matters : prepare cash‑flow statements, manage receivables, payables and cash balances, controls and timely deposits.Ensure compliance with all tax laws and regulations of the host country and obtain necessary permits and licenses.Maintain all leases, contracts and legal records affecting the hotel’s financial position.Approve daily activity and monthly reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance.Monitor hotel revenue and expenditure in accordance with international guidelines.Review and critique variances from budget or prior year and propose improvement methods.Control investment planning, calculate return on capital improvements, manage bidding and evaluate scope of work.Ensure hotel compliance with regulatory licenses, permits, leases, contracts and operating taxes.Assist management in enforcing compliance on all points.Analyze financial data and operations to advise management on financial objectives.Reconcile all balance sheet accounts and bank statements in a timely manner.Recruit, review and maintain an inventory of controllers, assistant controllers, accounting managers and other managers.Qualifications University degree in Accounting, Business, Finance or Economics.Hotel finance experience, 5-7 years, 2+ in a leadership role.Hotel opening experience, preferably in a premium‑branded hotel.Technical proficiency, solid understanding of compliance requirements and hotel‑specific systems.Excellent verbal and written communication skills, fluent in Spanish and English.Solid understanding of local legal compliance requirements.Ability to multitask and work in a fast‑paced environment with high detail attention.Quick learner, adaptable and humble, passionate about the SLS culture.Benefits Competitive package and global growth opportunities.Prestige of leading within Ennismore and Accor.Exclusive access and benefits across iconic brands portfolio.#J-18808-Ljbffr
