The Clinical IT Senior Manager - Europe for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics will be responsible for leading the strategic planning, implementation, and management of clinical information systems and technology solutions within the healthcare organization. This role ensures the effective integration and utilization of IT to enhance clinical operations, improve patient care, and support the organization's overall mission and goals.
This position is part of Customer Care in Europe and will be Remote – covering the Western Clinical IT. At Beckman Coulter, our vision is to relentlessly reimagine healthcare, one diagnosis at a time.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute the clinical IT strategy in alignment with the organization's objectives.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to identify and prioritize IT initiatives that enhance clinical operations and patient care.
- Oversee the implementation and maintenance of clinical information systems (e.g., Remisol).
- Ensure systems are optimized for clinical workflows and meet regulatory and compliance standards.
- Ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of clinical data following GDPR guidelines and regulation.
- Implement and maintain policies and procedures for data governance, security, and privacy.
- Act as a liaison between Implementation Team, Clinical staff, IT teams, and external vendors.
- Facilitate training and support for clinical users to maximize the adoption and efficient use of IT systems.
- Represent the Clinical IT department in meetings and committees.
- Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for innovation.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging feedback and suggestions from clinical staff.
The essential requirements of the job include:
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Healthcare Administration, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in healthcare IT management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- In-depth knowledge of clinical information systems, healthcare regulations, and standards (e.g., HIPAA, HITECH).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
- Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale IT projects and multi-country teams.
- Certification in healthcare IT (e.g., CPHIMS, CHCIO) is a plus.
- Fluent English is a must, any additional European language is a plus.
