This role is responsible for defining the architectural strategy for both internally developed AI systems and third-party AI services integrated into our internal tools. The ideal candidate will ensure scalable, secure, and compliant solutions that drive innovation and operational excellence in a regulated pharmaceutical environment## ## CORE RESPONSIBILITIES* According with our corporate framework, define and own the end-to-end architecture for generative AI solutions, including model selection, infrastructure, data pipelines, and integration patterns.* Lead the technical strategy for incorporating generative AI into internal platforms and workflows, ensuring alignment with business goals and regulatory requirements.* Collaborate with D&AI Architecture Team and D&AI Delivery Teams to define and deliver impactful AI-driven solutions.* Evaluate and integrate third-party generative AI services (especially Databricks Intelligence Services and Azure OpenAI, as well as any other LLM service) into enterprise systems, along with generative AI low-code platforms (especially Copilot Studio / AI Foundry).* Establish best practices for prompt engineering, RAG modeling and fine-tuning.* Ensure scalability, reusability, performance, and security of deployed AI solutions in production environments.* Stay current with advancements in generative AI and assess their applicability to the pharmaceutical domain.* Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering and data science teams.## REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Engineering, or a related technical field.* 5+ years of experience in software architecture, data engineering, or AI/ML solution design.* 2+ years of hands-on experience with generative AI technologies (e.g., LLMs, diffusion models, transformers).* Proven track record of delivering AI solutions in a regulated industry (preferably healthcare or life sciences).* Experience with cloud platforms (preferable Azure) and MLOps practices.* Fluent in English.## PREFERRED SKILLS & COMPETENCES* Deep understanding of LLM architectures, prompt engineering, and fine-tuning techniques.* Familiarity with frameworks such as LangChain, Hugging Face, OpenAI APIs, MCP & A2A protocols.* Strong knowledge of data privacy, security, and compliance in AI systems (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).* Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across technical and non-technical audiences.* Strategic thinking and the ability to translate complex technical concepts into business value.* Proactive, accountable, and capable of working autonomously while fostering collaboration.* Effective influencing and negotiation skills in cross-functional environments.We are a **people-centric company** where employees are at their best, patients and customer are at the heart of every decision, and our focus and agility allow us to deliver greater impact for all.Additionally, for the 17th year in a row, we have been certified as Top Employer Spain, and also Top Employer Germany for the first time.This strengthens our commitment to create a **unique work environment that helps our employees to develop their skills to fullest** and grow both professionally and as individuals.We are delighted to have a great team that is proactive, innovative, and eager to transform the world of people with skin conditions.We are **proud of each one of our employees**, their development, and growth: they are the success of the company.*Our purpose*"Transform the patients' world by helping them realize their hopes & dreams for a healthy life".*Our values** **Care:** we listen & empathize, we value diverse perspectives & backgrounds and we help each other succeed.* **Courage:** we challenge the status quo, we take full ownership and we learn from our success & failures.* **Innovation:** we put the patient and customer at the center, we create novel solutions and we empower entrepreneurial mindsets.* **Simplicity:** we act decisively and avoid over-analysis, we understand why before we act and we are agile & keep things simple.At Almirall, it’s all about people**#wearealmirall** #J-18808-Ljbffr
