We are currently hiring a Sr. IT Projects Controller to join our team in Spain

Location: Bilbao or Madrid in a hybrid work environment.

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated IT Projects/Business Controller to oversee and manage our IT projects. This role involves comprehensive budget comparison, cost control, project analysis, and financial oversight. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance and project management, with a keen understanding of business operations in the telecommunications or IT sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management: Supervise and analyze the status of IT projects, ensuring alignment with budgetary and operational objectives.
  • Financial Analysis: Perform budget comparisons, margin analysis, and investment projections.
  • Cost Control: Monitor and manage operational costs of IT projects, identifying and mitigating financial risks.
  • Commercial Orientation: Collaborate with the sales team to provide financial support in creating offers, margin analysis, and project status tracking.
  • Process Optimization: Identify areas for improvement in internal processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Revenue Recognition: Manage revenue recognition, ensuring accurate billing and maximizing income.
  • Audit Support: Assist in fiscal and grant audits, working closely with external auditors.
  • Decision Support: Provide financial insights to support strategic decision-making.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in Telecom, IT, or Engineering: Proven experience in similar roles within these sectors.
  • Educational Background: Degree in Engineering, Computer Science with business management, MBA, or project management.
  • Certifications: Additional certifications related to project management or finance are a plus.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to conduct detailed and precise financial analysis.
  • Business Mindset: Focus on continuous improvement of processes and financial outcomes.
  • Effective Communication: Strong communication skills to interact with various departments and hierarchical levels.
  • Financial Tools Proficiency: Experience with financial management and project management tools.
  • Languages: Proficiency in both English and Spanish.
  • Residency: Must reside in Madrid or Bilbao.
  • Project Management: Experience managing projects in service companies; IT companies experience highly valued.
