Opportunity –SeniorTechnical LeadAbout the roleWe are looking for aSenior Tech Lead / Lead Engineerto provide technical leadership and strategic direction forAI and Machine Learning solutionswithin theIMS (Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul Services)domain. This is a critical, enterprise-level role focused on designing and scaling reusable AI products that deliver measurable business value across complex, multi-tenant environments and multiple operating companies.Main Responsabilities Lead thetechnical architecture and technology strategyfor AI/ML solutions, balancing cost, risk, time-to-value and long-term scalability. Provide strong architectural input into the design ofreusable, enterprise-grade AI productsthat can be adopted across multiple business units within the IMS domain. Identify, articulate and mitigatetechnical risksusing a structured, data-driven approach. Define and evolvetechnical blueprintsthat support early discovery, accelerated value delivery, and progression to fully industrialised AI products. Simplify the complexity ofmulti-tenant environmentsby building reusable AI products that operate seamlessly across multiple operating companies. Act as ahands-on technical authority, guiding multiple squads to deliver consistent, robust and well-architected solutions. Define and enforcetechnical governance, including architectural decision-making processes (e.g. Key Design Decisions), ensuring auditability and alignment with enterprise standards, guardrails and design patterns. Set the technical direction forAI and ML platforms, including lightweight generative AI abstraction layers, routes to production and runtime ML platforms. Continuously assess theexternal AI and generative model landscape, modelling cost, benefits and implementation trade-offs. Work closely with engineering leaders and squad tech leads across distributed locations (Barcelona and London) to build an aligned, pragmatic and high-performing engineering community. Treat internal teams as customers, continuously reducing the effort required to discover, adopt and scale AI-powered products.Technical skills 15+ years of experiencein enterprise software engineering within complex environments. Proven ability to providedeep, hands-on technical leadershipacross multiple squads. Strong experience deliveringAI and ML platforms, tools or products. Solid understanding of modernML engineering, MLOps, CI/CD pipelinesand routes to production, including third-party platforms. Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to senior, time-poor stakeholders. Strategic, analytical mindset with the ability to translate business problems into technical solutions. Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills. Enthusiastic, forward-looking and pragmatic approach. Willingness to beon-site in Barcelonaand travel toLondonwhen required. Experience in theairline or aviation industryis a plus.Why join this project?
