MN8 is headquartered in New York with offices in Delray Beach, Florida, Boca Raton, Florida, and Madrid.Position Overview:We are looking for an ambitious temporary Accountant to provide support to the accounting operations department by managing daily accounting tasks. You will be part of an international team of professionals working to maintain order and transparency for the group's accounting data, systems, and processes.Execution of accounting closing tasks and preparing financial statements for the assigned renewable energy portfolios within the MN8 Group, under American accounting policies (US GAAP) and SOX control environment, are a large part of the accountant's day-to-day work.The position is also responsible for the proper application of cash receipts from our solar off-takers. This would include reviewing and posting incoming receipts and reviewing each for payment discrepancies.The ideal candidate will be well-versed in accounting principles and able to work comfortably with numbers and attention to detail.The goal is to contribute to the overall efficient operation of the department and help the company be fully aware of its financial condition.As the Accountant (temp.), you will:Post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recordedEnsure compliance with financial reporting and other standard accounting proceduresPrepare account amp; bank reconciliationsCalculate and record accruals and provisionsReview and analyze Intercompany transactionsAnalyze variances between Actual data and the budgetPrepare quarterly unaudited and annual audited financial statementsCooperate with other departments amp; external auditorsEnsure that the payment completely closes the related open receivableCommunicate with off-taker/Customer to resolve payment related issues, including collectionProcess payments across various bank accountsOur ideal candidate will have:Proven experience as an accountant.
