Manager, Technology Project Portfolio (EMEA)Global Solutions / Manufacturing companyRemote - SpainPreference for candidates based in Spain (due to existing team structures), but open to strong candidates across Europe.€70,000 - €75,000 base salary + benefitsAre you a seasoned Portfolio or Project Manager ready to step into a high-impact leadership role across EMEA?This is an exceptional opportunity to join a global organisation undergoing major digital transformation, where you’ll lead a mature yet evolving IT project portfolio spanning multiple regions, technologies, and strategic initiatives.The OpportunityYou’ll take ownership of the EMEA IT project portfolio, ensuring initiatives are prioritised, governed, and delivered effectively. The company is midway through several large-scale transformation programmes, including eCommerce, field service technology rollouts, pricing modernisation, and core system harmonisation, giving you a rich pipeline of meaningful work from day one.As the team evolves, this role has been intentionally designed to grow with the individual. The organisation values adaptability, long-term thinking, and the ability to implement change in complex environments at the right pace—not overnight.Key ResponsibilitiesPortfolio Leadership- Own and enhance the EMEA IT project portfolio governance framework. - Lead planning cycles, intake, prioritisation, and reporting across a diverse stakeholder group. - Drive alignment between business strategy, delivery capabilities, and resource allocation.Team Management- Line manage a team of Project Managers and Business Analysts (approx. five people). - Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning.Execution & Delivery- Act as Project/Programme Manager for high-value initiatives. - Work closely with international teams, including a dotted-line partnership with the global PMO.Process & Tooling- Champion best practices and continuous improvement across methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira, ServiceNow).What You’ll Bring- Strong experience in project portfolio management within multinational or multi-market environments. - Demonstrable success leading teams and managing cross-functional stakeholders without direct authority. - Solid understanding of Agile principles applied pragmatically within hybrid or non-Agile environments. - Familiarity with tools such as Jira, ServiceNow and other project governance platforms. - Ability to communicate confidently with senior leadership and navigate organisational complexity. - Experience working across Europe or globally—cultural intelligence is key. - Background in retail, wholesale, manufacturing, or similar industries is welcome but not essential.
