Accountant in Madrid / remote Role overviewThe Accountant will be responsible for the accounting operations of ACK3 and its international subsidiaries, ensuring compliance with both Spanish GAAP (PGC) and IFRS. This role combines hands-on accounting with exposure to multi-entity management, monthly closings, tax compliance, and group consolidation. A background in audit (Big4 or mid-tier firm) is highly valued, as it provides the analytical rigor and control mindset required to maintain financial accuracy and consistency across multiple jurisdictions. Manageday-to-day accounting operationsfor several entities (portfolio of companies): journal entries, AP/AR, expense control,supplier payments, and bank reconciliations. Maintain and optimize theHoldedaccounting system, ensuring accurate configuration, reporting, and automation. Prepare financial statements underSpanish GAAP (PGC)and assist inIFRS adjustmentsfor group reporting. Performintercompany reconciliationsand supportgroup consolidationprocesses. Support thefinancial planning and budgeting process, including preparation of annual budgets and forecasts. Managetax compliancefor Spanish entities, includingVAT (IVA) ,Corporate Income Tax (CIT/IS) , andwithholdings (IRPF) . Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors for statutory audits and compliance matters. Preparemanagement reportsand support the Finance Manager / CFO with financial analysis and insights. Identify opportunities toimprove processesand strengtheninternal controls. Collaborate cross-functionally withFinance, Operations, and HRto ensure accurate and timely financial information.Degree inAccounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field. ~3–5 years of accounting experience, ideally including prior experience inexternal audit (Big4 or mid-tier firm). ~ Strong knowledge ofSpanish GAAP (PGC)andIFRS. ~ Experience inmonthly closings,multi-entity accounting, and preparation ofstatutory financial statements. ~ Solid understanding ofSpanish taxes (VAT, CIT, withholdings). ~ Experience withHoldedor similarERP/accounting tools. ~ AdvancedExcelskills (pivot tables, formulas, data analysis). ~ Proficiency in English (B2 level or above). ~ Selection processThe recruitment process consists of two stages: # Technical Interview – including an accounting case to assess your practical knowledge and analytical approach.All interviews may be conducted inEnglish and/or Spanish.
