The contract will be within the framework of the Cystic Fibrosis project from the Diputació de Barcelona and the Catalan Cystic Fibrosis Association Main tasks and responsibilities / The successful candidate will develop research involving: Expertise in bacteria manipulation. Bacterial genetics. Characterization of different bacterial biofilms. Use of nanoparticles to deliver antimicrobials in bacterial biofilms. Galleria mellonellainfections. Cell culture manipulations and infections. Requirements for candidates: Essential: Ph.D. in biology, biotechnology, or similar areas but with microbiology background and expertise. Previous experience in bacteria advance microscopy, cell culture biology and bacterial infections. It will be a plus if the candidate has experience in microfluidics and nanoparticle characterization. Competencies and skills: Excellent communication and teamworking skills, proactivity, commitment, critical and analytical thinking High level of English. We Offer: Number of available positions: 1 Starting date: April 2023 Working conditions: 1 year Full time x-year contract. xx years, part-time employment contract. Open ended.
