Job Title: Business Analyst - Pharmaceutical - LIMS
Location: Barcelona, Spain
Contract Type: Long Term Contract
Day Rate: €350 - €400
Job Description:I am seeking an experienced IT Business Analyst to support multiple projects within chemistry and microbiology labs in the pharmaceutical industry. This role will focus on bridging business requirements with IT solutions to enhance the performance and compliance of lab operations.
Project Scope:Support of multiple projects, including system implementations, upgrades, and process optimisation.
Key Responsibilities:- Collaborate with lab teams to gather, analyse, and document both business and technical requirements.
- Support the design, implementation, and validation of IT systems in laboratory environments (e.g., LIMS, ELN, CDS).
- Drive process improvements and facilitate system integrations to optimise lab operations and efficiency.
- Ensure lab operations are compliant with industry regulations, including GxP standards.
- Act as a liaison between stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring clear communication and alignment on project goals and timelines.
Experience: Proven experience as an IT Business Analyst in a lab environment, particularly within R&D or Manufacturing in the pharmaceutical or life sciences industry.
Skills: Strong analytical abilities, excellent stakeholder management, and the ability to translate complex business needs into effective IT solutions.
Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with laboratory systems like LIMS, ELN, CDS, and understanding of regulatory compliance requirements (e.g., GxP).
Soft Skills: Exceptional communication and problem-solving abilities, with a collaborative mindset and attention to detail.
Languages: Proficiency in English is required; additional languages such as Spanish, French, or Portuguese are a plus.
Additional Requirements:- Proficiency in Jira Software for demand and project management.
- Agile and Scrum certifications are a plus.
- Strong understanding of lab systems and workflows, with the ability to optimise and integrate them into business processes.
