We are seeking a Senior Monitoring Production Consultant with extensive expertise in the ELK stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) to join our team supporting the expansion of a log monitoring platform. This role involves managing and enhancing ELK platform operations, developing log ingestion pipelines, creating dashboards, and implementing alerting features. The position requires strong Linux operations skills and experience working within an Azure cloud environment using Terraform, Puppet, and Git for deployments. Key responsibilities include delivering platform onboarding strategies, maintaining ELK instances, developing scripts for log collection and indexing, and contributing to end-to-end observability studies. Experience Required: Proven experience working with the ELK stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) in production environments. Strong Linux operations and administration skills. Experience developing log ingestion pipelines using Logstash and Filebeat. Hands-on experience with scripting for log collection, processing, and indexing. Familiarity with creating dashboards and alerting systems in Kibana. Practical knowledge of cloud environments, preferably Azure. Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and configuration management tools like Puppet. Proficient with version control systems, especially Git. Experience implementing observability solutions and familiarity with OpenTelemetry is a plus. Ability to work in an English-speaking environment, both written and verbal. Experience working remotely and collaborating with distributed teams is advantageous. Job Responsibilities: Manage and maintain ELK stack platforms to ensure reliable log monitoring and analysis. Develop and implement log ingestion pipelines using Logstash and Filebeat. Create and configure dashboards and alerting features in Kibana to support monitoring needs. Write and maintain scripts for log collection, processing, and indexing. Collaborate on platform onboarding strategies and contribute to platform expansion plans. Perform regular maintenance, updates, and troubleshooting of ELK instances in a Linux environment. Work with cloud infrastructure teams to deploy and manage ELK components in Azure using Terraform, Puppet, and Git. Participate in observability studies and assist in integrating OpenTelemetry solutions. Provide detailed task breakdowns and estimates for development and operational work.
