The Opportunity

We have an exciting new opportunity for a Plant Supervisor to join our team at our Hillhead readymix concrete plant. This role is fast-paced, dynamic and extremely varied. As the Plant Supervisor, you will supervise and operate a busy ready-mix concrete batch plant in Cullompton, ensuring both the fixed and mobile plant is operated safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Comply with all company Health, Safety & Environmental policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Produce RMX concrete as per QSRMC requirements and internal Quality Procedures.
  • Carry out pre-start checks to both fixed and mobile plant and report defects accordingly using internal systems.
  • Ensure the timely delivery of incoming raw materials (aggregates, admixtures, cements).
  • Complete weekly and monthly stock checks.
  • Induct all haulier drivers, visitors & customers coming onto site, projecting a professional image and ensuring that site rules are complied with at all times.
  • Maintain a hands-on approach working with contractors to control and organise plant maintenance as required.
  • Carry out general housekeeping duties and site improvements.
  • Exhibit a flexible and positive attitude to working times in line with business requirements.
  • Ensure completion of all KPIs and update as required.
  • Must be computer literate in the use of Google Drive, Gmail, JD Edwards, PowerPoint, Google Sheets, and Word.
  • Supervisor experience is a must.
  • Experience in operating mobile plant, ideally a front-end loading shovel.
