Driven by machine learning and copyright expertise, our system pumps neutral data and authoritative knowledge to everyone along the chain. For those who make or use music, we allow them to plug in to our O.S. to ease operations, increase earnings, and get in sync with everyone else.

About the team

As a People Operations and Culture Business Partner, you will be supporting the People team in achieving its objectives. Your contributions will directly impact the employee lifecycle. You will provide support, tools and resources for BMATers to face their challenges well-equipped and based in the vision, values and the BMAT touch, making you an integral part of our team.

IMPORTANT: This is a Barcelona-based position. Although we love the flexibility of working anywhere, this time we need someone who lives nearby the HQ or has easy access to the offices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting and guiding all BMATers in their daily queries and requests.
  • Support the salary review process implementation.
  • Support the payroll process together with the payroll specialist.
  • Ensure local legislation compliance in the countries where BMAT operates or has collaborators.
  • Manage global and local benefits and keep compensation policies and practices up to date.
  • Keep HRIS and other relevant files up to date.
  • Prepare and analyze information from HRIS to implement and drive changes.
  • Collect all the information needed for payroll updates and contract changes dealing with the external provider for accurate information.
  • Support any People projects and initiatives along with your team colleagues.
  • Manage the off-boarding processes and the administrative tasks related (exit interviews, accesses, documentation…)
Collaboration and Team Dynamics

You will collaborate closely with the People team, manager, and all BMATers. In order to handle the employee lifecycle and provide the support, tools, and resources for facilitating a calm and focused work environment, allowing the team to concentrate on meeting company objectives. These collaborations are pivotal for achieving our organizational goals and ensuring effective communication and alignment across different areas of the company.

After 15 days

  • Assist in managing employee issues and people operations tasks with complete autonomy.
  • Make the role your own for the time being and understand the BMAT touch and impact.

All about you

  • You are passionate about music, people, and music people.
  • You have at least 2-3 years of experience in People Operations at an international level, including some experience or payroll knowledge.
  • Possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with team members, stakeholders, external partners, and vendors.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
  • Demonstrate strong organizational skills.
  • You’re an independent worker, proactive, collaborative team player, and feel comfortable taking initiative in an ever-changing environment.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Fluency in English. Proficiency in Spanish and Catalan is highly appreciated but not mandatory.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • The role is located in Barcelona. Local candidates are preferred, but remote work arrangements may be considered.

BMAT started in 2005 when a group of engineers with a passion for music decided to spin off from an audio research lab in Barcelona. We’re now over 160 people, spread across Barcelona, Buenos Aires, Lima, Rio de Janeiro, London, Paris, New Jersey, Oslo, LA, Singapore, Tokyo, Manila, Bangkok, and Lagos.
