Lead Full Stack Developer (Node.js & React)

Blue Code is hiring a Lead Full Stack Developer (Node.js & React) to drive an innovative international learning solution project. With over 40 years of experience in training and personal development, the company is embarking on a new journey to build a cutting-edge global learning and development platform. This platform will enable employees of large companies to continuously develop themselves in a customized and transparent manner, partly powered by Artificial Intelligence.

Responsibilities:

  1. Lead the development team in designing, building and maintaining web applications
  2. Oversee both backend (Node.js) and frontend (React) development
  3. Collaborate with product managers, UX/UI designers and other stakeholders
  4. Define and prioritize project requirements
  5. Ensure the best possible performance, quality and responsiveness
  6. Participate and mentor developers to promote best practices in coding, testing and deployment
  7. Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate development processes
Requirements
  1. Minimum of 8 years experience in full stack development
  2. Strong expertise in Node.js and React
  3. Proven experience leading a development team
  4. Experience with popular React.js workflows (such as Flux or Redux)
  5. Solid understanding of RESTful APIs and web services
  6. Familiarity with PostgreSQL or MongoDB
  7. Experience with AWS infrastructure and services
  8. Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude
  9. Ability to work collaboratively in an international environment
  10. English B2 level or higher is required
  11. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred
  12. Willingness to work onsite in Alicante 1-2 days per week with the rest of the team

This is a full-time job - 40 hours per week with a competitive salary depending on experience and/or skills. The position includes an annual salary review, an international environment, and a hybrid work model with 1 or 2 days per week of office work in Alicante. There is also internal growth potential and optional informal outings with the team in Alicante.
