SAP DEVELOPMENT EXPERT:

SAP BTP Hub, the part of the SAP Adoption Services Centers, is the trusted advisor for our customers to leverage SAP BTP in their transformation to become an Intelligent Enterprise. In this role, you will deal with one of the most important baskets in the BTP service portfolio, development on the platform.

ROLE OVERVIEW AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Act as a development architect and consultant in SAP projects.
  2. Foster and maintain strong relationships with colleagues and clients, continuously enhancing knowledge of SAP products.
  3. Work closely with product, engineering, and customer teams to design scalable solutions that meet client needs.
  4. Provide technical expertise and guidance on SAP solutions.
  5. Lead workshops, gather business requirements, and ensure technical solutions are aligned with business objectives.
  6. Manage the entire lifecycle of SAP BTP development solutions, from conceptual design through implementation.
  7. Efficiently handle multiple tasks, excel in a team environment, and stay responsive to project and customer needs.

EDUCATION:

  1. University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
  2. Fluency in English; additional languages are advantageous.

DESIRABLE SKILLS AND EXPERTISE:

  1. Extensive experience with the core SAP development stack and standard web development technologies.
  2. In-depth understanding of SAP NetWeaver and SAP BTP platforms, including their business value, technical architecture, and services.
  3. Proficiency in ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP) development; expertise in BTP extension technologies, such as Cloud Application Programming Model (CAP), low-code/no-code platforms, and Workflow Management is highly beneficial.
  4. Knowledge of HANA database features and experience with SQL.
  5. Familiarity with commonly used SAP BTP platform services like Audit Log, HANA Cloud, Notifications, Cloud Foundry, CI/CD, SAP Business Application Studio, Transport Management, and Connectivity.
  6. Experience with automated software testing is a plus.
  7. Strong understanding of the software development life cycle and DevOps practices.
  8. Proficiency in Agile development methodologies, including Scrum or Kanban.
  9. Preferred certifications: SAP BTP extension and/or SAP ABAP development.
  10. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including verbal, written, presentation, and listening abilities.

WORK EXPERIENCE:

  1. 5+ years of relevant work experience.
  2. Preferably experienced in client/customer interaction or custom development.
  3. Willingness to travel.
