Job description:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Business Development Analyst Trainee to join our dynamic team in the renewable energy sector. The ideal candidate will play a key role in supporting business operations, analyzing market trends, and contributing to strategic decision-making processes. This position is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates or professionals with up to one year of experience to build their careers in a fast-growing and impactful industry.
This opportunity has a project management component and candidates will be analyzing a portfolio of more than 70 Projects in Europe, working simultaneously in cooperation with other members of the teams based in Spain and Italy.
Key responsibilities:
- Conduct market research and data analysis to support strategic initiatives in the renewable energy sector.
- Develop, maintain, and optimize reports and dashboards to provide insights into key business metrics.
- Utilize Business Intelligence (BI) tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or similar) to create data visualizations and support decision-making.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business needs and deliver actionable insights.
- Assist in the preparation of business reports, presentations, and performance dashboards.
- Support the evaluation of new business opportunities and partnerships.
- Monitor industry trends and provide recommendations to enhance business performance.
- Ensure effective communication and coordination between stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Engineering degree in civil, mechanical, or electrical (preferable). Data science or related field is also valid.
- 0-1 year of experience in business analysis, project management, reporting, or a related role (internship experience is a plus).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Proficiency in Italian and Spanish is a significant advantage.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced level preferred).
- Desirable experience with Business Intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or similar).
- Basic knowledge of SQL or other data querying languages is a plus.
- Basic experience in Geographic Information software: ArcGIS, QGIS or ArcView
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Attention to detail and a proactive mindset
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Adaptability and eagerness to learn.
- Willingness to travel up to 50%.
- Passion for renewable energy and sustainability.
