About the Role:

You will play a crucial role in building and maintaining the cloud infrastructure for continuous integration / continuous deployment (CI / CD) pipelines and production services. You will work closely with software engineers, other DevOps professionals, and cross-functional teams to ensure that systems are automated, reliable, and scalable.

Your contributions will drive the overall performance and efficiency of the platform, ensuring high availability and seamless integration for development and production environments. In this role, you will also mentor junior team members and refine DevOps practices, helping to shape the future of infrastructure management.

Accountabilities:

  • Design and Implement Cloud Infrastructure: Develop and maintain cloud infrastructure, including Kubernetes clusters and other cloud resources, for development and production environments.
  • Build and Maintain CI/CD Pipelines: Construct, optimize, and troubleshoot CI / CD pipelines to support the development process.
  • Troubleshoot and Resolve Production Issues: Identify and resolve production issues, ensuring minimal downtime and service interruptions.
  • Mentor Junior Team Members: Provide guidance on best practices and technical solutions to junior DevOps engineers.
  • Document DevOps Processes: Document DevOps processes and continuously improve operational workflows and efficiencies.

Requirements:

  • Experience: 5+ years of experience as a DevOps engineer in a production environment, with a strong focus on high availability and redundancy.
  • Linux Systems: Solid understanding of Linux systems and network fundamentals.
  • Cloud Services: Proven experience working with managed cloud services (AWS or GCP preferred) including compute, network, storage, and databases.
  • Containers and Orchestration Tools: Expertise in containers and orchestration tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm.
  • Infrastructure-as-Code: Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), preferably using Terraform or Terragrunt.
  • Monitoring and Logging Tools: Strong proficiency with monitoring and logging tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK / OpenSearch.
  • CI/CD Pipeline Development: Experience with CI / CD pipeline development, particularly with GitHub Actions and self-hosted runners.
  • Shell Scripting Skills: Strong shell scripting skills and familiarity with a high-level language like Python or Go.
  • Security Best Practices: Knowledge of security best practices in cloud environments.
