Program Coordinator, IE Impact

The Program Coordinator must be a team player, who is comfortable working in a busy environment; excels at time-management; has a positive and proactive mindset; is detail oriented; enjoys interacting with college-aged students and engages with empathy; and is eager to go above and beyond to provide the highest quality educational programs to IEU students, while supporting and collaborating with fellow team members, faculty, and other stakeholders to further IE's values and mission.

Why IE Impact?

IE Impact is a multi-school, multi-bachelor academic program, totaling 21 ECTS, which is essentially IE University's core curriculum common to all undergraduate bachelor programs. It consists of courses in the Humanities, Technology, and Entrepreneurship, reinforcing these foundational pillars of IE University, and centering Diversity and Sustainability.

The learning journey culminates with the IE Challenge, a challenge-based course in which students apply the skillsets they learn, mindsets they develop, and knowledge they acquire in the three pillar courses to tackle a challenge within the realm of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The IE Impact Team is responsible for the academic coordination and management at both the Segovia and Madrid campuses of all four IE Impact courses (Impact Humanities, Technology with Impact, Entrepreneurial Mindset & Practice, and IE Challenge). This program coordinator would join a supportive team of other program coordinators, associate directors, and the Executive Director.

IE Impact brings students from all IEU schools and bachelor programs together in classrooms both to enhance their learning experience and outcomes, and to foster a sense of community among students from across all six IEU schools. This academic learning journey is a feat of academic excellence at scale as IE Impact courses serve thousands of undergraduate students, aimed at preparing IEU students to develop into innovative problem-solvers who lead positive change.

We are looking for a person to join a full-time position in Madrid.

Your role as Program Coordinator will involve:

• Provide academic operational support (planning, IT, Atenea, Campus Online) to Technology Academic Director; to IE Challenge Academic Director; and to Entrepreneurship Academic Director;
• Schedule, plan, organize, attend, and follow up on Faculty meetings;
• Provide hands-on and in-person support to faculty online and in person at both campuses;
• Provide academic coordination support to faculty and students for various needs.
• Keep track of and anticipate needs to keep faculty and students abreast and informed about key dates, deliverables, etc.
• Solicit and work in collaboration with Academic Directors to ideate topics and speakers for extracurricular events and challenges related to IE Impact's learning objectives related to the Technology pillar.
• Support coordination of interns.
• Provide administrative support to Executive Director and Faculty (reservations, payments, reimbursements, etc.)
• Coordinate summative and formative evaluations throughout the semester and upon the close of semesters/events.
• Stay abreast and participate in trainings related to management systems, genAI software and use cases, innovation and higher education learning, etc.
• Plan and organize events, on both campuses, in conjunction with the Academic Directors, Associate Directors, or Executive Director that serve to further promote and enhance IE Impact's overall mission and learning objectives.
• Liaise with Entrepreneurship & Innovation Center's Area 31 Teams, among other things, to coordinate events and to publicize IE Impact activities or related opportunities of interest for the greater IE community.

• Bachelor's Degree

• Native English (or equivalent) with bilingual-level Spanish (written & oral).
• Highly developed intercultural skills.
• 2 years of relevant professional experience, preferable.
• Customer service professionalism, excellent organizational skills, and proactive attitude.

• Solid ability to work under pressure and high level of accountability.

• Availability to attend occasional evening events.
• Weekly trips, as necessary, to the Segovia campus to support faculty and extra-curricular activities.
