Global Sales Specialist in Laboratory Automation

Your Role and Responsibilities

You will be responsible for the sales of robotic laboratory automation solutions in line with our division strategy. Your focus will be on reaching qualitative and quantitative sales targets to ensure sustainable order growth, revenues, profitability, market share, and customer satisfaction.

Main Accountabilities:
  • Sales Volume and Profit: Sell products/systems/services to customers, focusing on volume, mix, and profitability targets for assigned Divisions.
  • Customer Relations: Establish and maintain effective customer relationships to understand customer needs, promote customer understanding of full product/systems/services offering, and align to provide a solution.
  • Sales Plans: Prepare sales plans using company tools. Perform regular status reviews and propose recovery plans in cases of potential order shortfalls.
  • Sales: Create added value for the customer and ABB by ensuring the successful outcome of transactions, contracts, and proposals using effective sales techniques.
  • Marketing: Ensure efficient marketing activities and value proposition to customers.
  • New Market Opportunities: Identify and facilitate the development of new market opportunities in designated markets and ensure know-how sharing and cross-collaboration.
Requirements

We are seeking a dynamic Global Sales Specialist with a substantial background in laboratory processes or laboratory equipment sales. You should have a degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmacy, Biotechnology, Biology, or equivalent. Solid understanding of laboratory processes and/or laboratory equipment sales is a must (5 years).

A strong understanding of laboratory automation and robotics will be highly valued. Availability to travel internationally up to 50% of the time is required. Fluency in English is essential, and other languages are valued.
