We enjoy problem-solving and most importantly, we LOVE making gamesTake a look at our games: iOS Store + Google PlayAbout The RoleTripledot is looking for an experienced Technical Writer to create comprehensive user guides for our in-house systems that are used by our product & marketing teams and the wider business. You will work as part of agile delivery teams and take part in the delivery process from requirements specification to testing to understand all the details of new features in the pipeline and produce high quality user guides describing them.
Role responsibilities
- Create, update and maintain high quality user guides describing how to use Tripledot's in-house systems that help product and marketing teams operate our games.
- Become an expert user of the systems. Test common workflows and edge case scenarios to ensure accurate and comprehensive descriptions of features.
- Work as part of cross-functional agile delivery teams to produce user guides as the rest of the team is working on delivering new features for business stakeholders.
- Work closely with business stakeholders to understand their needs and create a prioritised backlog of features to produce user guides for.
- Lead the efforts of creating templates and standards of documenting user guides in the company.
- Develop a communication plan to promote use of available user guides across the business.
- Substantial work experience as a technical writer producing user guides for business stakeholders from scratch.
- Excellent written and verbal English language skills.
- Previous experience working as part of distributed agile delivery teams.
- Ability to extract required details from epics, user stories, UI mockups and flow diagrams to produce user guides.
- Ability to build strong working relationships with business and technical stakeholders.
- Ability to quickly learn complex systems and concepts and articulate them to business stakeholders in a concise way.
- Familiarity with Jira and Confluence.
- Ability to create a prioritised backlog of work items and come up with an achievable delivery plan.
- Previous work experience in a gaming studio.
- Background in software development or testing.
