PROUD is a Finance&Strategy and RISK co-sponsored programme, kicked off in October 2023.


This programme ensures that the Bank achieves the remediation plan sent to ECB in June 2023 and detailed later in November 2023.

This remediation plan aims at tackling weaknesses identified by a 2022 ECB mission focused on the regulatory approach governance and related processes.

These outcomes have been formalized by the JST in an operational act received in May 2023.

MISSION:
The tasks to be performed have been allocated to 5 streams, as per below:

  • BNPP's policy regarding IRB vs STD usage (how BNPP makes decision regarding the regulatory approach for capital requirements calculations)
  • Capital Chain implemented changes
  • Data quality assessments on the data that supports the framework
  • The results of the independent review and how findings (if any) have been remediated


Additionally, the project has the objective to build a BAU process that will continuously perform the monitoring and control of the regulatory approach.

It has no safety nets and is based on the assumption that the new data to be created can be obtained based on existing data and on an algorithm directly implemented in the central capital chain.


During the project phase, a dedicated team will support the Bank's efforts, starting with 5 additional resources (searched for externally to date).

Later in 2024, the project team could reach a size of 10 people.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
You will act as co-director of PROUD and be dedicated at 100% to it. Your co-director is Claire Leger from Finance Standards and Controls.

As PROUD co-director you will ensure that:

  • the streams produce the right deliverables in the right timing
- dependencies between streams are managed
- the budget is respected and that the Programme's governance and staffing is adequate
- the external (ECB) and internal (Sponsors, Top Management) communication of the Programme is appropriate. In particular, ECB has requested to be informed quarterly on the programme's progress
- the BAU process will be implemented as from January 2025


In your role, you may have to handle internal and external discussions/negotiations when it comes to roadmap adaptations or responsibilities allocations.


REQUIREMENTS:

Experience:
You have a knowledge of the credit chain (systems) and credit data models

You have an experience of the relationship with ECB

  • 10 years of experience

Languages:

  • English:Fluent
  • French:Optional
