Solicitor/Associate (Practice Governance and Risk) – Leeds
The Solicitor will collaborate with the OGC members, business services teams, and fee-earners from across the Group to handle various tasks focusing on conflicts of interest, regulatory compliance, risk, and professional ethics. Occasionally, the Solicitor might be asked to assist other areas of the team.
- Developing and promoting an understanding of the regulatory and professional environment
- Assisting with regulatory investigations and reporting requirements
- Supporting in resolving legal and commercial conflicts
- Dealing with ad hoc regulatory and ethics queries
- Providing training on risk areas and regulation
The Ideal Candidate:
- A law degree, legal qualification, or compliance experience is advantageous
- Prior experience in a regulated industry, like Legal or Financial Services, is highly desirable
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills
- Effective communication skills
- Good attention to detail
- Ability to plan, organize, and work under pressure
- Team player with the capability to build relationships
