Main Responsibilities:
- Deeply knowledgeable in Linux operating systems, including Debian and RHEL distributions.
- Finetuning kernel parameters and proficient in bash scripting and miscellaneous shell tools.
- Proficient in virtualization technologies such as libvirt and containerization tools like lxc and docker.
- Expertise in networking protocols including IP, routing (static, OSPF), DNS, VPN, HA technologies (bridging, keepalive), Firewall, and familiarity with Cisco Meraki and BGP.
- Proficient in configuring and managing web servers like Nginx, Apache, and PHP.
- Experienced in utilizing monitoring tools such as Nagios, Zabbix, Grafana, Prometheus, and Netdata for infrastructure health and performance monitoring.
- Familiarity with hardware components including RAID arrays, Dell, and HP servers.
- Proficient in database administration, particularly with MySQL (MariaDB) and replication technologies (binlog, galera).
- Deep understanding of cybersecurity principles including vulnerability management, Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), and Extended Detection and Response (XDR).
- Familiarity with other technologies including Redis, Memcache, Supervisord, and Logstash.
- Create and update technical documentation, knowledge base articles, and user guides to facilitate selfhelp and improve support efficiency.
- Manage IT assets including hardware, software licenses, and peripherals, and assist in the procurement process for IT equipment as needed.
- Collaborate on a variety of IT projects and initiatives as required.
- Work closely with external support teams and collaborate with the R&D department on technologyrelated projects.
Professional Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience in Linux systems administration and IT infrastructure management.
- Strong understanding and handson experience with the technologies listed above.
- Excellent problemsolving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and external stakeholders.
- Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Relevant certifications such as RHCE, CCNA, or equivalent are a plus.
