Job Summary:

Alter Solutions Group is seeking a highly skilled Windows Systems Administrator to join our team. As a key member of our IT infrastructure team, you will be responsible for operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting Windows systems within our enterprise-server environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Participate in planning and development of new features and services to enhance our IT infrastructure.
  2. Proactively manage our environments, forecasting capacity needs and ensuring seamless operations.
  3. Assist with the deployment of new applications and services, collaborating with other teams to optimize services.
  4. Work closely with customers and technical teams to address issues, investigate problems, and serve as a technical expert.

Requirements:

We are looking for a Systems Administrator with excellent communication skills, a strong technical understanding of information systems, and experience in managing enterprise-server environments. The ideal candidate will have a 24×7 support requirement, be willing to participate in a regular on-call rotation, and work a flexible schedule to respond to out-of-band emergencies.

Scope of Work:

  1. Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows systems, ensuring high availability and performance.
  2. Maintain best practices and procedures for patch management, virus management, and operating systems upgrades.
  3. Active Directory Management, including managing and troubleshooting GPO's, DNS, and DHCP.
  4. Perform root cause analysis to troubleshoot system errors and client system issues.
  5. Define and implement security best practices and hardening of the Windows Server OS and related technologies.
  6. Build and manage Windows failover clusters.
  7. Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures.
